A COLLABORATION BETWEEN...
AND...
Well, are you in for a treat today. Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you a triple threat post featuring not one, not two, but three looks. Heck, technically there are six looks because there are two of us. #maths. Speaking of maths... these shoots share the common theme of school. Yep, we've dedicated this post to the six-hour-five-days-a-week institution we ironically finished last year. But with its influence making its way into our wardrobes, we ask ourselves if we actually ever left it...
On a more exciting note, the ever talented Rochelle has created the coolest look book video for these outfits, so sneak on over to the Youtube video if you wish.
Actually don't stop at her YouTube, check out all her snazzy social media bits and pieces; you won't regret it.

Without further ado, here is a little interview with Rochelle and a few cheeky photos from that day.

1. Hey hi hello! Introduce yourself to my lovely, lovely blog readers.
Hiya! I’m Rochelle, 18, just moved to Melbourne from Singapore but I was born in New Zealand and lived there for most of my life.
My burning question… Why are you called The Rochelle Fish?
When I moved to Singapore my new pals nicknamed me Fishy out of the blue. They explained that: rochelle = ro + shell = shellfish = fishy. Apparently this is a common train of thought because I met another girl named Michelle whose friends, completely separately, had also started calling her Fishy for the exact same reason! It became really confusing having two people in the same grade with the exact same nickname. (Later she moved to Denmark so I could claim the name for myself mwahahaha)

What are you passionate about?
Dance, drawing, make up, theatre and music all hold a special place in my heart. One of my life missions is to use the internets to be able to combine all my artistic passions into one career. I’m also super passionate about the environment, equality, tv shows and drag queens (don’t even get me started).
What does fashion mean to you?
Creativity and experimentation! I’m fresh out of wearing a hideous uniform 5/7 days so I’m in a very inspired place right now being in a new city, country and suddenly getting to play with what I wear everyday! (Also Melbourne has WAY more thrift stores than Singapore so I have a big funky pool to pluck goodies from)
Describe your perfect outfit.
Recently an oversized tee with boyshorts (or no shorts 😉) has been my definition of perfection! So comfy, so freeing. (I’ve been back amongst the equator for the month of July- this combo is not current-southern-hemisphere-weather-friendly.)

What’s something that people may not know about you?
I really really want pet rats. They’re so curious, loving, playful and intelligent and there are many that need new permanent homes to love them. There were two little sister rats here in Melbourne named Arya and Sansa (yes like Game of Thrones) and it took ALL my willpower to not adopt them! Like if you see me making a series of impulsive decisions, you now know why.
What’s something that makes you happy?
ANIMALS! Whether it’s a domestic kitty or a wild ant going about his day, I love watching critters be ignorantly blissful and do their thing, loving and eating each other, it’s all so beautiful.
What’s something more people should know about?
Probably a lot of things, but I guess I can narrow it down to ‘what goes on behind the scenes’. I’m still trying to educate myself on what goes into the stuff I buy, eat, wear and do (and will be in the ‘trying’ phase probably until I die!) but just know that you can take action towards living a more sustainable and conscientious lifestyle and still live a life full of fun and freedom and perhaps feel more fulfilled than before! At the end of the day all that matters is that you’re trying to learn more and act on what you’ve learned, even in little baby steps. Also Orphan Black is such an underrated show.
Give us a good piece of advice.
Drama class taught me that three of the most important things in life are self awareness, risk taking, and good public speaking skills. And watch RuPaul’s Drag Race, it will actually change your life.
